Vehicle: 2005 GMC 3500
Scope of Work: Twin Turbos, Motor, Pipes, Tranny, Tune
Synopsis: Pat wasn’t an ordinary customer looking for added performance. No he wanted a truck that could run with the big boys. We politely obliged to his request and began building his GMC into a race-ready beast.
We began by tearing out the stock motor and replacing it with a full race spec 6.6L Duramax engine with Stage 2 Heads and ARP Studs. Spooling this engine are a set of custom hand built towing twin turbos. To get the air moving we mated the engine with some Pro-Fab manifolds and up pipes. To make sure the power stays planted firmly tot he pavement we put in a race spec Allison Transmission with a 6-Speed Conversion. For added stopping power we mated a BD Exhaust Brake to this beast. Inside we integrated a custom 5 gauge pillar pod and finished off the build with an EFI Live tune that has a DS5 Switch – the end result is a tire screaming 660 RWHP Duramax ready for the races.
